Paralympic Learning and Discovery Day

Today, a team of 12 children from Key Stage 2 represented our school at an exciting morning of learning and discovery at Stratford Leisure Centre.  This fun event was organised to build friendship and the understanding of difference through sport, ahead of next year's Paralympics Games in Tokyo.  At the event, our Loxley pupils worked in mixed school teams to try out eight different inclusive sports, including seated volleyball and curling - another great opportunity for our small school family to mix with larger groups of  children from ten other local primary schools. Well done to our children for their friendliness, sensible behaviour, lovely manners and great sportsmanship throughout the morning - children, you make us very proud! Thanks also to Mrs Hull, Miss Rowden and Mr and Mrs Weeks who helped us with transport to and from the leisure centre.  Here are a few favourite photographs from the morning, with more to follow in this week's newsletter...
