School Meals

Our school meals are prepared for us by the Educaterers staff at Alveston Primary School and delivered to us fresh each day, just in time for lunch. Our children have choices from the same lunch menus as all other Warwickshire Primary Schools, with the added flexibility of being able to choose daily whether to opt for a hot school lunch or to bring their own packed lunch from home.

Payment

Children in EYFS and Key Stage One are entitled to their school meals for free, under the UIFSM scheme (Universal Infant Free School Meals).  Once your child is in Year 3 and above, you will need to pay for any school lunches. Current costs for hot lunches are £2.55 per day or £12.75 per week - this also covers the cost of the transportation of the hot meals.  Payment can be made to school office either by cash or a cheque made payable to Warwickshire County Council Fund.

 

It is important to know that families on low incomes can make an application for free school meals at any point.  Families are recommended to make this application even if their child is still in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 where they are already receiving free meals under the UIFSM scheme.  The reason for this is that the school receives special Pupil Premium funding for every pupil who claims free school meals, which we use to enhance their education.  To see if your child qualifies for free school meals or to make an application, please follow the link below.
