Coventry Transport Museum and Cathedral Trip

On Tuesday 24th September, Horse Chestnut and Sycamore Classes visited Coventry to enrich their learning about local history linked to WWII.  The morning was spent at the Coventry Transport Museum in a WWII workshop where the children got to explore vehicles and original artefacts from WWII in the museum galleries as well as taking part in a hands-on workshop exploring rationing, evacuees and the Blitz.  The afternoon involved a trip to the new St Michael's Cathedral for a guided tour and some sketching of the West Screen and Baptistery Window in preparation for exciting art projects back in school.  Here are a few of the highlights from our day...
