This morning, I had the pleasure of accompanying the children and staff from Horse Chestnut Class on a walking tour of our village. The walk allowed the children to explore firsthand the physical and human features of the village, linked to their learning in geography. It also inspired them to write their own guides for 'A Loxley Village Walk' in English, utilising their skills in both descriptive and persuasive writing. The highlight of the walk for many of the children was seeing the two resident donkeys who live in the paddock at the bottom of the hill. We were also very lucky to have the November sunshine to accompany us our on trip! Well done to all of the children for their excellent behaviour throughout the walk, and for their hard work afterwards once back in class.
