Today in school we have mostly been designing, making and launching rockets on the field! We re-used empty 500ml plastic bottles for the body of our rockets and then added extras to make our rockets more aerodynamic. Reverend Andy provided the special 'rocket fuel' in the form of white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda then we had a school competition to see whose rocket could fly the furthest distance across the village green. Our super maths skills came in handy when measuring, recording and presenting the data - the older children even went a step further to work out the average distance travelled by the rockets each class! What a fun way to spend the last Monday of this academic year and a big thank you to Reverend Andy for giving up his day to help us.
