SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
Our Federation Special Educational Needs Coordinator or SENDCO is Mrs Sam Worland and our SEN Governor is Alex Chamberlain. At Loxley Primary School, we are proud of our excellent reputation in supporting our children with SEND and their families within our highly inclusive and nurturing school community.
We aim to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, reach their full potential and make the best possible progress in school. There are many systems in place to monitor pupils' progress and a wealth of experience amongst our staff in helping to ensure that all our children meet this goal. There may be times when, for various reasons, a child may not be making sufficient progress. The information below explains what we will do to explore the reasons behind this and how we support all of our pupils to flourish and achieve all that they can be!
The most important thing to remember is that we must work together, through discussion and partnership, to ensure that our pupils get the best possible assistance to enable them to continue to love learning and coming to our school. If you have any queries regarding special educational needs and disabilities, please get in touch with our Federation SENDCO, Mrs Worland, by telephoning 01789 840211 or by messaging admin3040@welearn365.com
As a federation, we buy into several external agencies to support our children with special educational needs, including: the Educational Psychology Service and SEND Supported.
