Introduction

Loxley C of E Community Primary School is extremely proud to be part of a wider family of 75 church schools belonging to the well-established Diocese of Coventry and Warwickshire. Our dedicated team of staff and governors are committed to ensuring the best possible educational experience for every child in our care, regardless of whether they come from a Christian background, a different religious background, or a background of no religion at all. At Loxley, we provide 'good soil' for all children to grow in God's love, so they can truly flourish as the unique and precious individuals they are meant to be.

What does being a church school mean to us?

• Aspiring towards a distinctly Christian vision, which is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Bible and inspired by the example of Jesus.

• Teaching at least 1 hour of RE per week in each of our three classes, with lessons that are broadly Christian in nature but also provide sound coverage of the five other major world religions: Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.
• Encouraging children to think about the 'big questions' in life and to move further along the path of their spiritual journey, whatever their starting point.
• Nurturing a sense of awe and wonder in our natural world through weekly outdoor learning sessions at Forest School.
• Making excellent use of our links with the Diocese in providing training and development opportunities for staff, and unique and memorable experiences for children.
