School Improvement

We are committed to striving for excellence at Loxley CofE Primary School. As part of this mission the Staff and Governing Body have developed a School Improvement Plan that reflects the needs of the school.

School Improvement Priorities 2025–2026

Loxley CofE Primary School is committed to continuous improvement and providing the highest quality education for all pupils. The following priorities will guide our work during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Objective 1: Prepare for SIAMS by embedding school values and develop SIAMS inspection pathway

We will continue to embed our Christian vision and values across all aspects of school life, ensuring they are reflected in the curriculum, collective worship and relationships within the school community. This work will support preparation for the forthcoming SIAMS inspection and strengthen the distinctive ethos of the school.

Objective 2: Improve the quality of education through comprehensive staff training and monitoring of foundation subjects.

The school will further enhance the quality of education by developing staff expertise and strengthening provision across the full curriculum. A focus will be placed on ensuring that all subjects are taught effectively and that pupils acquire the knowledge and skills intended for their age and stage. Monitoring and evaluation will inform ongoing improvements to teaching and learning.

Object 3: Improve attendance of persistent low attending pupils particularly those in vulnerable groups.

Improving attendance remains a key priority. The school will continue to work in partnership with families to promote regular attendance and to support pupils whose attendance is below expected levels, particularly those in vulnerable groups.

Objective 4: Grow pupil numbers to ensure sustainability of Loxley Primary School.

To support the long-term sustainability of the school, we will strengthen engagement with the local community and ensure that families are well informed about the opportunities available at Loxley CofE Primary School.

Our Commitment

Through these priorities, we aim to ensure that every pupil receives a broad, balanced and enriching education within a caring and inclusive environment. Progress will be reviewed regularly by school leaders and governors as part of the school’s ongoing self-evaluation and improvement processes.
