Sports

TCS Mini London Marathon

Our amazing children took part in the TCS Mini London Marathon, running, jogging and walking their way to success! Every single child showed fantastic effort, determination and team spirit as theycompleted the distance together.
This term, we’ve been focusing on our school value of perseverance, and today was the perfect example of it in action. From start to finish, our pupils kept going, encouraged one another and refused to give up, what an achievement!
A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for your continued support, and to everyone who kindly sponsored the children. Your encouragement really made a difference and helped inspire our pupils every step of the way.
We are incredibly proud of you all - what a brilliant way to celebrate being part of Team Loxley!

Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Tournament

Well done to our fantastic Year 5 and 6 girls who represented the school so brilliantly in their first football tournament after school today at Alcester Town Football Club.
The teamwork, determination and enjoyment shown by every player was wonderful to see. From fabulous tackles and confident passing to some flying goalkeeper saves that helped keep a clean sheet, the girls should all be incredibly proud of themselves!
What stood out most was the resilience and positivity shown throughout their matches, with everyone bouncing back from adversity and continuing to encourage one another every step of the way. A fantastic example of sportsmanship and team spirit from all involved.
Thank you also to all of our parents and families for your brilliant sideline support and encouragement throughout the evening, it was greatly appreciated!

Girls Football Club

Our pupils recently took part in a six-week girls’ after-school football club. The group showed great commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm while developing their skills and confidence on the pitch. Opportunities like these are so important in encouraging girls to get involved in sport, build self-belief, and enjoy being active together.

Sports Day

A mssive well done to everyone who took part in Loxley Primary School Sports Day! Your spirit and teamwork shone brightly in the warm weather. It was brilliant to see such talent in throwing, jumping, balancing, and running. Thank you to everyone who came along to cheer and support and congratulations to our winning team for clinching victory by the tightest of margins!

Archery
Did you know that Loxley CofE Primary School has a fascinating connection to the legend of Robin Hood? Some historians believe that the famous outlaw may have originated from Loxley in Warwickshire, not Nottingham! Perhaps this is why our children showed such amazing skill during our recent archery enrichment afternoon. We had so many bullseyes and proud smiles!
It’s wonderful to see our children embracing local history through fun and engaging activities.
Stratford Combat Centre
Horse Chestnuts and Sycamore classes had an exciting visit from Jay and Kyle, our fantastic boxing experts from Stratford Combat Centre! The children learned the correct fighting stance, how to hold their guard, and practiced jabs, hooks, and uppercuts. After mastering the basics, they got to put on gloves and punch the pads with all their might under expert guidance. It was a brilliant experience full of energy and fun!
A huge thank you to Stratford Combat Centre for bringing this fantastic opportunity to Loxley CofE Primary School.
